Prvi reli "1000 kilometaram Beograda" održan u oktobru daleke 1965. godine u organizaciji AMK “Beograd”. Prvo kao reli preciznosti, a potom i kao brzinski reli, ovaj jedinstveni sportski događaj je sedam godina okupljao velikane jugoslovenskog automobilskog sporta, ali i brojne auto entuzijaste. Iako kratkog veka, reli “1000 kilometara Beograda” je značajan deo nasleđa auto-moto sporta glavnog grada i cele zemlje. 

Danas, 60 godina kasnije, čuvenu “hiljadarku”, osmu po redu i u malo drugačijem formatu, organizuje AMD “Dorćol”, klub koji okuplja entuzijaste auto-moto sporta, ljubitelje i vlasnike starovremenskih, youngtimer i modernih sportskih automobila i motocikala. Negovanje duha dobrih starih vremena, prijateljstva i povezivanja kroz ljubav prema auto-motu sportu i istorijskim vozilima osnovne su vrednosti kojima se AMD Dorćol vodi i koje oživljeni reli neguje.
