My work begins with the portrait,

but it does not end with the face.

Photography, collage and image-based interventions

I use photography as a controlled space in which identity can appear, resist, and eventually become unstable. The portrait is first constructed with precision — reduced, isolated, almost silent — and then interrupted through repetition, collage, text, or physical intervention.

These gestures do not destroy the image. They reveal its vulnerability.

Between the visible face and the altered surface, I search for the point where identity stops being something we recognise and becomes something we negotiate.
